On Wednesday, 8/2, we drove from Mount Rushmore to Fort Collins 312 miles which took us about 6 1/2 hours. Way too long of a drive for me, for Portia too. High winds, stormy weather, and road construction kept things slow, but that's OK. We arrived safely with everything intact.
Fort Collins is a beautiful and friendly town. Oh, and a thriving craft beer scene. Darn the luck. Below are a few pics from our last day at Mt. Rushmore. I wanted to take some pics of the Needles Highway but I was too busy driving. Check out Youtube and the "Eye of the Needle" tunnel.
